1. Information We Collect

The free calculator requires no personal data — all calculations run locally in your browser.

The paid report collects the following information you voluntarily provide:

• Property Information: Street address, city, state, zip code, property type, year built, roof area, roof orientation, roof pitch, roof material, shading description.
• Electricity Usage: Monthly kWh consumption, monthly bill amount, utility provider, time-of-use rate preference, battery storage interest.
• Budget & Preferences: Budget range, installation timeline, financing interest, preferred equipment brands.
• Contact Information: Full name (required), email address (required), phone number (optional).
• TCPA Consent: Consent to receive contact from solar installers (required for paid reports — see Section 6).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data solely to:

• Generate your custom solar assessment report based on your property and usage data.
• Create and manage your user account for report access.
• Process payments (via Gumroad; we do not store card details).
• Send your report download link and account credentials via email.
• Connect you with local solar installers for quotes (only with your TCPA consent as described in Section 6).

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

We only share data when:

• You provide TCPA consent to receive quotes from solar installers (see Section 6).
• Required by law or court order.

4. Security

We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS, Supabase encryption) to protect your data. Passwords are hashed using Web Crypto API and never stored in plain text.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

• Report data: Retained as long as your account is active so you can access your reports.
• Account data: Retained until you request deletion.
• Deletion requests: Email [email protected] to request full deletion of your account and all associated data. We will process deletion within 30 days.
• Payment records: Gumroad retains transaction records per their own retention policy.

6. TCPA Consent & Installer Contact

Paid report submissions require TCPA consent as a condition of service. By checking the consent box, you agree to:

• Receive calls, texts, or emails from solar installers regarding quotes and installation services.
• Have your contact information and property details shared with vetted local solar installers for the purpose of providing installation quotes.

This consent is required because the paid report's primary value is connecting you with qualified installers who can act on your assessment. You may opt out by contacting [email protected] at any time.

7. Cookies & Analytics

We use Cloudflare for site security and performance. Cloudflare may collect anonymized analytics data (page views, load times) as part of their service. We do not use advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or third-party cookies.
